Davy Fitz- a thread for the non-believers

If they won 4 in 5 years, then how did Tipp and Galway win in 2010 and 2011?

Would it be a grand a training session for a senior inter county team?

4 in 6 championships . 2009, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14

You just listed out 6 years you ham

Clare won 4 in 6 not 4 in 5 as was claimed; 09, 12, 13 and 14

I wouldnā€™t think that much and im sure they have an agreed fee from the start. hed be getting well north of 60k id imagine. What else does he do, media stuff with rte? Big micks post above about his work life was excellent

Iā€™m talking in general, not just the manager.

Youā€™d have to pay s&c, a physio, coach etc.

Then have balls and food after for the panel.

Could even be north of a grand per session

Davy isnt getting anything near that from Wexford. As @Big_Dan_Campbell alludes to previously, he may be doing side deals or makinng his own income elsewhere, but the expenditure on the county board is well short of ā‚¬60k.

But how much from Bolger?

Oh sorry. Yeah with all that factored in you are probably right. Staggering really.

Bolger stopped any contributions he was making after last year. Hence his public complaining of Davys tactics this year and Davy not giving a shit about what he said in response.

Someone else step in? He isnā€™t doing it for the good of his health. Literally

Nope. rumours alright, but sure as this week proved, Davy is some man to be talked about and a hape of stories made up.

They won 4 in 5 years between 2009 and 2014 which is what I claimed. I never mentioned championships. Nice to see pedantry all the same.

Because there are 6 championships in 5 years inclusive.

2009 Clare
2010 Tipp
2011 Galway
2012 Clare
2013 Clare
2014 Clare

The best players to come off the latter three teams were weak tippy tappy players unsuited to intercounty hurling. Average Tipp u21 teams were also just as good as Clare in two of those latter u21 winning teams

So Cork won 2 all irelands in one year when they won in 2004 and 2005?

Just as good? You mean the one when Ken Dunne ran on the field celebrating not realising there was extra time and we won pulling up by playing for 12 mins out of 80? Or the time we handed Tipp their arses in Thurles?

Lads outside Wexford donā€™t have a notion about how well oiled the machine has become in recent years. The tension between the County Board and local newspaper is constantly driving standards up. Thank you to our great chairman Derek Kent and Brendan Furlong in the Wexford People for that.

Adrian Fenlonā€™s commercial committee is doing sterling work and Eanna Martin is permanently employed as Commercial Manager - our very own Mossy Quinn - to link together the committee with the board.

Cairde Loch Garman under the chairmanship of Doc Oā€™Connor plays a key role in marrying the commercial with the individual supporters/backers and then thereā€™s the Dublin Branch of the Wexford Supporters club doing its fundraising too - thereā€™s some fine people involved in the capital.

Weā€™ve expanded our network to foreign shores too and the organisation and role out of the development and capital expansion programmes is top notch.

Our only crime is being passionate and structured with everybody pulling together (cc Ray Boyne) and itā€™s not our fault that other counties canā€™t get organised themselves. Let them have their cheap shots.

Davy Davy Davy.
