Other forums saying he will be running for Labour in Clare.
FFS
Someone please move this to the dungeon, Turfcutter posted this hours agoâŚ
If he runs will he get in ??
I doubt he will get a massive vote around me but the he will clean up in ennis and shannon
I didnât think Davy would have much interest in Politics.
Be tough to find the time to keep the yard ticking over and to be and down to Dublin.
i suspect it would go the same way as the mcbrearty stunt. showing up labour for the shower of useless cunts they are.
Really ?? with all the dissatisfaction with FF and all, like them or loath them the people arenât happy with them historical strong hold and all.
While I dont think Gilmore will be the leader of the country (well unless the banks close or something) they offer some sort of alternative
even with all the ff dissatisfaction in the past week, take a look at the donegal by election, ff polled second, fg third and labour fifth on 10%.
simply if you donât have credible candidates you wonât get votes.
picking âcelebrityâ candidates like FG did previously will probably backfire.
Well I canât see a sinn fein getting a seat in Clare but you never know but I cant see a ff topping the poll either I donât think McBrerties showing will be a reflection on labours showing nationally either, funny part of what Iâm saying is that I would consider voting labour but wouldnât vote for Davy maybe youâre wright maybe there are more people like me but Iâm sure you will agree FF will suffer
I broadly take your point, fist. But the FF candidate in Donegal was just as big a retard and he still took a respectable share of the votes. Itâs gas really.
What about Liam Griffen Bando ??
What about him, tc? Is he linked with running for someone?
ya it is, i was expecting them to drop under 15% to be honest.
Always seemed coherent at least when he was representing the hotel federation even if he did have an agenda, didnât hear anything only speculating really
your right they wonât. weâll end up with a big spread in the votes iâd imagine.
to be honest i think weâd be better off with a fg led government without labour. very unlikely to happen obviously
FFâs vote wonât collapse in the rural consistencies as much as it will in the urban area I think they will still get between 25% and 30% of the vote nationally simply because of there organisation on the ground and local polities, parish pump, gombeenism you can call it what ever you like but they have the image of being more available to the people that the other parties.
Agree with you having a big spread of the vote and that will suite FF down to the ground not so sure about a FG majority god knows what they would do, Iâd be happy with fg lab coalition the other strange alternative is labour do well and fg and ff have to give each other a look across the dance floor now that would be fun, it would be a total balls but it would be fun
Labour are in an awful panic with the last few days so anything is possible. The fine gael press office have been working overtime telling anyone whoâll listen that theyâve made big gains this week. Labour seem to have bought it, and that turnip they put forward for Donegal hasnât helped matters. Theyâre at war with each other now anyway so theyâll be outdoing each other with stunts until polling day.
Be nice to have a TD with some nice looking offspring though
True, I donât know what the Clare connection is either, but sure I suppose it doesnât matter with these celebrity candidates.
I would implore all clare hurling supporters to vote for Davy, it would guarentee that he wouldnât be able to the over the seniors in the next few years
