Customs intercepted a package of mine coming from the US from iherb (Quest bars and a few others bits)…

VAT is now applicable (since June 1st) on all these products and I have to pay admin fees etc before DHL will release the package…

Total cost of package prior to Customs check - 120 euro
Total cost of package after Customs check - 185 euro

What would the cost be if you were ordering them from an Irish supplier?

Lower GI but white potatoes have more nutrients. Not much in it really I think.

Glad you told me… I was looking into getting more bars…

I want to get a few of these let me know the new best place to purchase kid.

Quest bars aren’t available in Ireland just yet but will be shortly I am sure…

Regarding other stuff, I was getting jars of coconut oil for 8 dollars , would be 12 euro in shops for equivalent.

You can get it much cheaper. In tesco they had a jar of coconut oil with organis and other high end marketing stuff on it for 8 euro, and another one for about 4 that looked like it came from a supermarket in thailand.

are Tesco not doing it for 1.99??

The Tesco stuff doesn’t have the fad in it

So not content with robbing the Irish state of tax income it is entitled to, the protein shake brigade have also been paying over the odds for their stuff too. This is tremendous news.

I am only interested in Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Coconut Oil.

Please make an effort not to push processed shite on this thread.

Have you decided to start paying your taxes now?

@Kinvara’s Passion you think he’s going to change the habit of a lifetime, although the processed aspect might be new for him.
