Diet & Nutrition

Now that’s crossing the line @Mac

You must have done something wrong, pal. Try standing in a bucket of water while grabbing the microwave close to you tomorrow morning.

I agree, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Mickee, consider this an infraction.

@ChocolateMice, is shop purchased, mass produced soup healthy? Say something like a Cully & Sully type product. I ate a lot of fruit in the summer but I’ve been phasing out strawberries and oranges as it’s become colder and replaced them with soup. Is this an unwise/unhealthy course of action?

i’d say that stuff is pumped full of shite bandage, what you need is a nuitribullet to make your own soup

christ almighty

make your own FFS
mods, issue this poster with an infraction for wasting my time

Its full of sugar mate

@Colin Montgomerie , Mac is on the money here… Just as easy make your own, especially if you have a top notch extractor such as the nutri-bullet.

I lack skill/guile and patience when it comes to cooking/food preparation. I’ll have to source some healthier home-made, available for purchase soup option. Thanks for your input though.

Some of these soups can be done in 10mins, pal.

Others can be heated in a microwave in 3 minutes though, mate.

peel a spud, a carrot or two, fuck it into a saucapan with brocoli and a leek, boil with a pint of chicken stock, put in the bullet, soup in 10 minutes, even a roaster can manage that

Has anyone done one of those food allergy/sensitivity tests? I am considering undertaking one. Anyone with any further thoughts or info, useful exercise or a load of bollox?

Hmm… it kind of tells you what you know anyway… very generic info in the results. Give up inflammatory grains, minimal dairy products etc. Most people are aware of these anyway.

If your feeling poorly your GP will give you a referral to an expert in the field and you can get a proper analysis done.

What sort of symptoms have you?

Enjoy, fat boy.

was thinking of getting one done myself- As KP said, they usually just give you a list of the usual culprits- Best doing a trial and error run your self- cut/add stuff to your diet that you think is causing you problems and see how you feel… I thought I had a gluten issue- but i’ve eaten different breads (scone/bap/pizza) this week at different times and no reaction- pasta and noodles also. Deep fired foods certainly affect me so i’m wondering do I have a slight ulcer…Only one way to find out I guess.

Bandage peel a spud

The only thing he can peel is the wrapper off a mini roll

Don’t waste your time with this dinosaur, pal. Can you please address my foam roller queries though.

@Kinvara’s Passion @ChocolateMice, cheers for that. I probably wouldn’t be bothered cutting various foods out by 100% and then having a cut off them as trial and error. My diet is pretty much excellent anyway. I do notice occasional potential symptoms like eczema, tiredness, or more likely less perfect skin than usual. I couldn’t put my finger on anything out of the usual in diet around these times. I’d be interested to do one of these tests, cut whatever it might recommend, and see if that makes a difference.

Choco, I don’t think there is any such thing as a ‘slight’ wheat intolerance from what I’ve read. You’re either coeliac or not. Though of course you’ll probably feel better if you cut bread as you’ll more than likely be eating healthier anyway.

This was once a thread where posters convened to offer support, not ridicule. Fuck you all. Fuck you.
