Bought The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off on DVD and just watching it now.

All I can say is

Bizarre DVD purchase if you don’t mind me saying Farmer.

It cost about €5 Tinnion.

What’s the kids name in that one? Is it a young fella who goes around covered in bandages the whole time?

He’s not a kid - he’s 36. He looks like a kid though due to his condition.

Jonny Kennedy is his name.

His name is Robert Paulson

Ah it’s a different to the one I saw so.

A line from this, which has just come to me.

Says Jonny in his thick Geordie accent:

‘The condition I have means that if anything comes in contact with my skin, it immediately blisters. That means that exercises like wanking are just not possible.’

Was this him Farmer?

I can’t see that Tinnion.

Saw Senna there this evening in the IFI. A cracking insight into the legend. No talking heads either, lots of raw footage and the races of course. An excellent and affecting documentary.

I’m hoping to see this at the weekend. Is it on in all cinemas or just special screenings?

It’s on general release, in lots of cinemas in Dublin anyway.

Saw “Champion”, a Doc about Danny Trejo, enjoyable and worth a watch. Very honest.

Only just gotten around to watching this today. One of the best documentaries I’ve seen. Superbly done and blows away an awful lot of the myth about Pat Tillman that his family never accepted in the first place. Moving stuff.

Apparently the book about him, Where Men win Glory, is brilliant, debunks a lot of the myth.

Imagine my surprise the other night when I saw being broadcast on the Discovery Channel here in Aus, Charlie Bird Investigates. Full sure I was sitting down to an hour of analysis of the GUBU period in Irish politics, I was even more surprised to see the bould Charlie on a dog sled in the middle of fucking no where. It was excellent though, looking forward to part 2, Charlie I never knew ya.

This looks really good. From the same guy who made Hoop Dreams.

The brilliant Steve James. He did a doc on Allen Iverson too for the 30 for 30 series. A genuine master of his craft
