Does whiskey go off after its been open for a bit?

Cheers @Mac. Is crested nice? I see that’s 25

Yep, they’re both great value at those prices

I’m having a Powers Three Swallow here. I think it’s lovely stuff

I feel cheated.

I got a present of this. It’s written by the chap who owns the Blackwater Distillery. It’s a bit all over the place in parts but it is interesting in setting out who owns what distillery and why there was such an explosion in the number of distilleries. (Beam bought Cooley and decided they weren’t going to supply their whiskey to third parties any more).

Just shows how much of a rip off it is the rest of the year

Powers John Lan is 50 euro in Dunnes. This is the greatest bargain of all time. Normally 75 euro odd. None left on the shelves of the 2 Dunnes I was in yesterday

Does that make the bottles more valuable as a novelty/collectors item?

By god. That’ll be the start of it.

“Whisky”? Fuck sake Irish Times.

I doubt it. I don’t think it was ever good enough tbh

Waterford was always Whisky not Whiskey.

What? Why?

It’s a long story

It’ll be an interesting test for the industry to see if anyone buys the distillery. Presumably the spirit will find a ready market.
