Does whiskey go off after its been open for a bit?

He’s some man to create a story, I’ll give him that

A good way of putting it.

Hate that use of ‘deconstructing’… Painful.

Not sure this craic is what whisky is about. We want to see the championship match, not the prior training sessions.

Ah it’s a gimmick. Ok idea and a bit different but the quality isn’t there to back it up. Every Waterford whiskey I’ve tasted seems to be worse than the last.

First tremors of coming bust, perhaps.

Slightly off topic but I was reading recently how the global change in tastes has seen people move away from the full bodied French reds and a lot of the smaller producers in the Bordeaux region are in serious bother, with some vineyards, digging out their vines and replacing them with solar panels.

The Corporate Finance lads I know have been steering clients away from Whiskey investments for the last 2 years. They feel the market is way too crowded now and it will be very difficult for any new distillers to make money.

They’re about 2-3 years late I’d say. The ship has long sailed

I tend to agree.

I read those articles on wine tastes as well. And I think your linkage is perceptive.

Whisky bonding will be the way to go, I reckon, as broached in April 2021.

That good. Fellas might even get back to buying it to drink it

Did the Bushmills tour today. Quite a high end tour, in the same league as the tour I did in Moët last year. Finished up with a glass of Distillery Exclusive 12 yr old single malt in their lovely wee bar. It was a nice drop and I purchased a bottle as a souvenir. £47 I thought it was good value.
