Drugs in sport (and non sports)

I have it on good authority that the uci suspect blood doping

Bad year for him and his buddies

How are they going to get him on that? Unless someone inside sky talks

They can’t. Just what they think.

Who’d have thunk it?

Finally got around to watching Icarus. Fucking hell. Might be worth a tenner on Russia to win the World Cup.
I knew it was bad obviously but that was some next level shit.

But what good could doping do in sport’s most intense endurance sprint event?

It can’t help you trap a ball.

I don’t believe any of this.

Lance has one of his “Stages” podcasts out discussing the Chris Froome story. Must give it a listen on the way home.

Shortly followed by “its all a bit of a secret as to what they are”.

If they were drugs, they were the shittest drugs in history.

All drugs are bad, mkay?

Isn’t that the guy that treated Stephen Roche’s knee?

No idea mate, but thats informative in itself if so.

I recall from that Oirish cycling book that Rochee was getting injections of calf extract or something.

Tis true, he’s also worked with Paula Radcliffe.

I most remember hearing about him for treating Jose Maria Olazabal’s foot when he had chronic arthritis in the mid-1990s. Olly came back and won the US Masters again.

I see he treated Ronaldo’s knee as well.

He’s not a Dr. Ferrari, Dr. Conconi or Dr. Fuentes type, he specialises in healing chronic injury via unorthodox methods which clearly work.

Guardiola fired him from Bayern a few years back after getting pissed off with him during a Champions League match.
