Dublin Pubs - Hall of Fame

Fridge for a half hour wouldn’t be enough.

Kev McMenamen and his band gave some exhibition upstairs in Devitt’s last night by all accounts.

Drugs?

Singing/Playing the guitar.

I find that hard to believe.

Live music is back, would you believe?

Was it a bad exhibition? Or a good one?

Quite the opposite.

I had a pint in there about a month back. I thought it had dropped from its usual high quality.

Smyth's

Surprised this spot was not mentioned. Great spot for me, into early 1990s. Was in it a few years ago and still really enjoyable.

Cannot say I clocked any disimprovement when in around same time.

Proper pinting pub. Be one of my favourites

This happened back in the 2000s for a couple of years. You’d go up after a Dublin match to be told no outdoor drinking. I’d say 2006/07. But it didn’t last.

Possibly Lucky Bags in Kilruane, now closed. Large ale a huge seller out that way, as it was in Puckane 70/80s

Black & Tan would be really 1/2 ale / 1/2 stout. Pour the Guinness first, settle then top with smithwicks. Very difficult to fill, too much waste. Pint of ale with Guinness head common enough, just keeps the head creamy
