Dublin Pubs - Hall of Fame

Has anyone ever frequented The Snug on Stephen Street?

I don’t think there’s ever been a photo of the interior taken as none of the patrons own smart phones.

Just read on the recently returned Facebook this morning that a pint of Guinness is €4.50 there, but strangers are not exactly welcomed

Its a mad kip. I drank it it one night close to Christmas but I think it had a different crowd than the normal locals.

First Tuesday’s always look packed. On a hot summer day the patrons all drink outside and you can hear the, roaring/shouting and laughing. You can hear the craic if you are walking close by. In the sunshine hearing their banter Id always think jaysus Id love a pint meself!

It used to open early, a lad walked in with a guitar at 7am when I was driving past one morning. I imagine there was a sing song going by 9am.

Right, chatting to a lad here who says the best pub he was ever in was in Dublin it was near the Liffey, and they did oyster stout. Any ideas where it might have been?

Messr maguires? A cod

What a piece of magic

Is it still going? Your man says he’s looked for it a few times since and couldn’t find it again.

Mulligans or The Bachelor.

It’s Still there

A pretty transparent attempt by Roy to secure a Christmas drink in each establishment.

He’ll be sitting there on his own.

No change to pre-2020 normality, so.

Roy was in the company of 8 others in Briodys last Saturday. A human magnet for disciples of Porter and poetry

I was thinking the other night I’d like to do a Stoneybatter pub crawl.

Start at Hanlon’s and work your way down.

I’d probably only get stuck in Kavanagh’s.

Anyway, roll on 2027.

I’d love it if him and @Malarkey ended up in the same pub.

Be like the time Brendan Behan and Ulick O’Connor got into a fight outside Kehoe’s (I think). Ulick knocked Brendan out.
