The most friendly though apparently.

Friendly? They obviously bumped into the Muldoons because the locals would have a knife in you as quick as you could say Anna Livia.

Go away out of that SS
You just mistook the legendary city wit for threatening behaviour

Read NCC’s posts- most are friendly and funny, however if you didn’t know him you might take them as threatening and boorish

where did swords the main town of Fingal come on the list?

I have never seen NCC as a Dub, he is a Fingalian with a Basque/Viking heritage, a direct descendent (through the distaff line) of King Sitric, a world away from the average vein-spiked Dub.

Have to agree about Dublin being a boring city.
There is FUCK ALL to do in this city if your a tourist and you dont want to get pissed.
Also agree about the worst dressed.
Only people playing sports, or coming home from the gym should wear a tracksuit.
Every other fucker caught weraing one should be buried alive in mass graves.
And Irish women need a lesson in how much make up to put on.
They end up looking like burns victims with the amount of slop they cover their faces in.
not very attractive at all.

Brussels is full of paedo’s and life’s detritus in general.

Love the place and wouldn’t live anywhere else, but we are indeed a city, and a nation of appalling dressers. Personally speaking I haven’t owned a tracksuit in about 20 years, and like to put some kind of effort into my appearance, but alas we constitute a lunatic fringe. I can’t think of many European capital cities were it’s acceptable to go socialising in a tfk hoodie, but here in Dublin we are just too welcoming at times.

I’ve seen it with my own eyes Sledge. Bandage out of a night wearing a TFK hoodie, no wonder he has to slum it with munters. One should be immaculately dressed at all times, as someone who appears on TV regularly I know the importance of projecting an image.

Ooooiiii. That’s a wild and unsubstantiated accusation.

Being attractive is the most important thing there is
If you wanna catch the biggest fish in your pond
You have to be as attractive as possible
Make sure to keep your hair spotless and clean
Wash it at least every two weeks

I wouldn’t be as prominent on the TV as your good self SS**(do you get another half a star for losing a semi-final now or what?) but I do like to pick myself out of the crowd every so often, and being better dressed than most around me does help. Being a man of tweed I did think you’d comment.

Bandage’s hoodie antics are unfortuante but by and large, it’s the eastern seabord that keeps the country from being a total sartorial hellhole.

I don’t fully disagree with you Sledge, however the Eastern seaboard is stretching it a bit. Laytown is no Saville Row, neither is Bray. Fingal would probably be the epicentre for high fashion in the country though.

Fingal’s very placement on the eastern seabord is probably enough to give it a fair bit of importance, but if there ends up being a proliferation of people supporting a football team playing in Tallaght, then standards are bound to slip sooner or later.

I’m loathe to comment on personal matters, especially after some dick had a pop at you for mentioning your bird exploits over the weekend, but I’ve phased out the hoodies in recent months. I’ve accepted that I’m now getting older and, instead of buying t-shirts in Tribe and such outlets for younger people, I’ve recently purchased some lovely, neat, conservative, staid, boring polo shirts in Best Menswear, Arnott’s and Cleary’s. Think Alan in Two And A Half Men and you’ll get the drift but I do look much smarter.

my cravat is qually as commin at cricket games in North county Dublin than at football games in South county Dublin

*shakes head

The clothing and “things to do” were never that great in Dublin, as they are not in any Irish town or city, but its the people that have really left Dublin down in recent years. Not what they used to be unfortunately. Thats why i’m astonished anyone would vote it the most friendly. Are they only friendly to non-Irish?

Ah go fuck off.

No, just non-Cork people.
