Pitch is an absolute disgrace
Hail x 2
If the huns had an original thought in their heads they’d be dangerous
Awful miss from Elyounoussi
3 strikers on the bench and needing a goal
Back to the future stuff
Kennedy should not be part of the first team backroom team after the season is done.
Send him to the development or youth team if he is to stick around.
He’s a coach. Not a manager. Not auditioning well for a managerial job but that’s not his strength in fairness.
Worst thing would be for him to do well now and be given job …
Have you seen us play this season. We look like a team that has not trained together all season. He’s part of the problem, a company man.
Sums up the season well that, gutless
Tricky to win it from here now. Left needing snookers
Good idea making sure the league wont be won at Paradise.
Guard of honour though
More than you I’d imagine.
I’ve no idea what his coaching his like but it seems to be rated highly by people at the club and who were at the club.
The players have displayed no fight or ambition all season and I wouldn’t shoot Kennedy because that didn’t suddenly change.
Not saying he’s a superstar or anything but he gets a disproportionate amount of blame. I’d be rid of Strachan a lot sooner.
I doubt it.
Kennedy is a fraud. A company man who is there due to the sympathy card.
The whole first team coaching set up last season needs gone. I don’t know how you consistently defend this shit, you didn’t even have the gumption to put your hands up yet and admit you were totally wrong.
Neil Lennon levels of misplaced arrogance.
If he was any ways decent as a coach he would not be overseeing these kind of performances this season.
The sympathy card is pure nonsense. You’re emotional and lashing out.
No.
You’re arrogant and still trying to deflect from all your smug defences of Lennon last season.
Kennedy is facilitated because he had a career ending injury in his early 20s that robbed him of his career.
Once again PLC Rocko finds himself way out of kilter with the Celtic fanbase. Kennedy clearly doesn’t have what it takes to be a first team coach at Celtic. Back to the youth team if he wants to stay or else let him go and cut his cloth elsewhere.
Celtic have a bad history with looking after ex players with jobs they are not qualified for. Scott Brown will be the latest company man with a job for life regardless of credentials.
We often lash out at those closest to us when we’re hurt. I’m ok with you having a go at me. I know you’re coming from the right place.
I watched those interviews with Kennedy during the week. And he spoke very well. He seems to have a decent philosophy and he’s clearly well educated on coaching and talking about practical implementation and the dangers of being lost in theory etc.
But he could still be shite or he could be good. He’s been a coach through the good seasons as well as the bad. It’s far too reactionary to just associate him with the negative.
The whole first team coaching set up should be cleared out after this season.
Looking at it objectively. Kennedy was given a coaching role because those at the club felt he was given a raw deal with his injury, it was a sympathy card. Celtic have a record of internal appointments - a biscuit tin mentality whereby former players or those with links to the club rise through the ranks to get jobs they do not have the credentials for.
We need a new manager with a track record and pedigree suitable for the job and he needs full autonomy who his backroom team is comprised of. We don’t want any internal appointments so the board can have their inside man reporting back.
Rightly or wrongly and when you look at the performances of the team and clear lack of shape, cohesiveness and organisation, Kennedy is viewed as only being there as a point of sympathy. He should be judged on his record and this is without doubt the most shambolic season in 20+ years for Celtic.
Maybe he should go and prove himself elsewhere. Look at our setup - guys like O’Dea and McManus involved, are these guys suitably qualified - why can’t we look externally for coaches and managers with a good CV and pedigree rather than sorting out an ex player who is then beholden to you for the opportunity.
Under Lawwell, there was a yes man culture at Celtic where the backroom staff owed him for being appointed to a job they would not have been qualified for.
