You can’t help but feel that poor spock is being set up for a fall by those championing him. I’d love for him to be successful in the gig and Ireland to be vibrant expansive football but there are people out there crowning him as the messiah before he even has the got the gig.

Irish soccer crowd love to hoist some player up on a pedestal who isn’t in the team. Almost invariably when they play you can see that actually there’s a good reason they weren’t playing. It’s almost like the manager knows more than them.
Mick has had very limited time with this team and he’s doing alright. They are achieving right about what can be expected to be fair

Those lads dont have a clue. They think they are the Colin Cowherd or Shannon Sharpe of the sporting world over here but in reality they are bottom feeders. They have an AM show to go along with the 7-10 slot on Newstalk during the weekdays. There are a lot of hours to fill with meaninginless inane bullshit but somehow they manage to pull it off. They had a segment on an Irish sports broadcaster award recently which sums up everything about them.
I’d say I haven’t listened to otb in 3 years and I don’t think my life is any the poorer for it.
