EFL Championship 2018/19

Reading would appear to have been somewhat hasty in firing Paul Clement. They’d lost one of his last five league matches prior to his departure (to top of the table Leeds United) and appeared to be turning the corner from the shambles he inherited from Jaap Stam. That’s modern day soccer for you. All about instant gratification and most managers are given no time to sort things out. Sure there’s some on here that would have had Jurgen Klopp sacked at Liverpool about two years ago.

Statistically he is the worst permanent manager in the history of the club at the time of his sacking.

Why did he deserve more time?

Good win for Reading today, it was the correct decision to sack Clement and it gives them a fighting chance of staying up.

Lower league legend Billy Sharp makes it 100 goals in a Sheffield United shirt. Villa are anaemic tonight.

Mugs off Alan Hutton to make it 101 and a hat-trick on the night not long after

Villa 3-0 down and they bring Glenn Whelan on to save the day :joy:
When did Glenn end up there?
