Electric Picnic

Anybody going to electric picnic under the age of 30 is most likely going taking drugs for the weekend.

Lads holding up the fact club games can’t go ahead this weekend because of it as some sort of positive are really clutching.

It’s the only major festival of the summer. Previously you had crowds split between oxygen and EP. Since covid they are all going to EP and the age demographic is pretty much the exact same as GAA players.

Anyone beyond their mid 30s going is some sort of weirdo

There’s a big one in Waterford now too because it’s easier to get drugs in

Also pretty sure they’ve nearly doubled the capacity in recent years. It’s used by 40 or 50k, now its 80k.

EP is now the size oxefen was. All together now is bigger than EP was at the time oxegen was around. There’s a good few other smaller ones too, beyond the pale is growing the last couple years.

It’s 80 a long time.

An awful lot of young people are doing drugs anyway mate

Yes indeed.

You’ve made me do my own research.

Its was:
55k in 2016
57k in 2019
70k in 2022
75k in 2024
80k in 2025

I wouldn’t go near a festival or even a concert.

You can just listen on the radio or Spotify if you like the song

If I like a song I phone up the radio station and ask them to play it

Im just not sure why club men on here think it’s a positive lads are choosing taking drugs for a weekend over the club championships.

It just wouldn’t appeal to me.

Never seen so much Traffic on a Thursday for Electric Picnic. Should be fun taking children to training later.

Thursday is the new Friday.

And you can be sure it was more than 80k last year

It’s gonna go bigger again next year

The same lads doing drugs at EP are locked into the cubicles snorting at Ballybrit and Leopardstown for the ponies too.

That’s a tricky mirror you’re after holding up

The cars approaching now are pharmacies on wheels packed with coke and pills.

Ah, it’s all changed now. We had a good few years where the Sunday of EP meant heading into town to watch Dublin win another All Ireland.
