Energy Crisis

And their FIT rate by nearly 20%

FIT?

Surely to God a Green energy expert like yourself doesn’t need me to explain that

Feed in tariff. Sorry you were treated like this, pal.

The Greens must be delighted that our emissions are down in Ireland.

Heat pumps lads. Mine (hitachi) is showing as “circuit 1 off” and isn’t heating any of the rads. I still have hot water. My thumb is up my hole

You’ll need to turn circuit 1 on.

This take half the time of my usual fix as he has already turned it off, he just needs to put it back on.

If it won’t turn on I suppose he should check to make sure that it’s plugged in.

Turning it off and turning it on again actually worked last night but the system obviously sees that coming today

Sounds like circuit 1 is off

You’ll need to distract it first. Maybe engage it in conversation about sushi.

He needs to turn it on. Maybe call it a ‘dirty little boiler…’ or something. Or show it pictures of the new fridge.

All very helpful guys

How old is it? Any error codes besides ‘circuit 1 off’?

About 14 months old. Serviced this year. No error codes

Have you a multimeter?

No

Grand, you best call a sparks so. There’s not a whole heap going on under the cover, few relays and fuses to check, see if there’s resistance on the compressor terminals, do the transformers spit out the right levels etc. Another thing to confirm is the refrigerant level… it won’t come on if it’s low.

You could try roughing up the radiator valves in case one is stuck, but not likely to foul the pump I’d imagine.

Good luck with it.
