Iwabuchi is a little dynamo.
Oh dear
Spectacular own goal by the Brits in the 92nd min.
Japs onto a rematch of last WC final against the Yanks on Sunday.
YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! They’ve only gone and done it again. These Japanese girls are never beaten, they are a credit to their country and to football. I hope they smash the US.
England out of a world cup in heartbreaking circumstances, only difference is that the English girls have done themselves proud.
Did you know that Germany have won the last six womens European Championships?
Nobody gives a fuck, mate.
I bet they do.
Given your sudden passionate following of the WWC (I’m gonna run with this acronym), coupled with your tardiness in compiling the AFL tipping results, is it safe to assume you’re on leave doing sweet fuck all?
No mate, I’ve been extremely fucking busy trying to win a major contract, most of that’s done now and now, now we wait. I’ve been quite interested in the WWC, it’s been pretty good and I’ve always supported the Matilda’s (I’ve been to a few games and they’re not bad). I actually don’t have a problem with women playing field sports, which should pretty much finish me off on TFK.
The recent upheaval in this forum has seriously turned me off posting here as well.
I’m on leave next week though.
Lovely
I fell asleep while watching this and was woken by the tragic own goal by Laura Bassett. Laura and Steph Horton were magnificent in central defence all through the tournament and that was so, so unjust on her. But in a way she was a victim of England’s dominance - we had dominated the second half. Also, the ball clearly didn’t cross the line.
Anyway, still the small matter of third place to be played for against the Hun.
Fara Williams’ extra-time penalty gave us a 1-0 win victory over Germany in the third place play-off. Applause smiley.
Take that, Fritzi.
A proud end to a great tournament for our girls.
England will win the next World Cup. Foden and greenwood are going to be amazing. Add in sancho, grealish and more They’ve plenty of attacking options.
They’ll find a way to fuck it up, they always do. Will probably appoint Holloway as manager.
I dunno mbb. This is by far away and the best squad of players they’ve had in a long time. They also don’t seem to have many egos either.
They dont have the technical ability to beat the top teams when it matters… That has always been their problem
I’m not so sure. Grealish and foden are ballers.
Still lacking a technical player in the deeper midfield positions though, that doesn’t do Liverpool any harm but that’s generally where they fall down in the tournaments
Wasn’t a problem in 1966.
