ah there would be a few. Maybe I’m taking Southall too far into the mid 90s rather than the early 90s. But there was a lot of really good keepers around that spell that would be much better, but again, that would be comparing them at their peak and him at his coming to an end. probably being overly harsh on him, I’d have more recollection of him from that period than the late 80s.
I’d have rated him hugely from the 80s, to be honest there’s only been 3 or 4 goalies since then that I’d have rated above him, none British
Look at a highlights reel on YouTube, he was an awesome shot stopper
Do not back down here whatever you do… dig in like fuck.
I honestly never knew that there was a third vs fourth pl

Don’t forget those cunts Andy Goram
I’m on it for the long haul, I suspect @Gman has had advice from a grown up and realised that his stance is futile, I’m now confident in saying that big Nev was the best ever
Yeah I’m not in it for the long haul pal. The overall point being missed, but either way, I’d find it hard to agree that a keeper in his prime who didn’t play in any international tournament or any European club tournament and his sole body of work was in England during his peak years could be considered the best in the world.
He played international football mate, and was very well regarded, you wronged him in your first post, (leaden footed, not agile) it’s clear you rarely if ever saw him going on that, I’ll leave it there.
Southall was a super keeper and potentially could have been in a European cup winning side with that everton team. Def the best in the English league at that time.
Double post. Shit fucking coverage on the smelly drogheda train
Dunphy reckons England could make the semi final or the final.
Who’s after Columbia?
The flight home.
Colombia
Swiss or Sweden.
Thank you, no reason England can’t negotiate that
Have a bit of respect and give countries their proper name
The Swiss have been very impressive and if it’s them they will take care of England easily … They need to get over Colombia first.
