The much maligned Italian league that has produced a winning team at European and World Cup levels in recent memory?

Italian sides haven’t won the UEFA Cup since 1999 or Old Big Ears since Inter in 2010. Roma did bag an Intertoto Cup at some stage I think

The EPL footix seem to be proud to parrot on about their league, the quality of which has been inflated by American hedge funds, shady Arabic nation state funding and the pockets of Russian oligarchs with close connections to Vladimir Putin. The glory of it

Klopp is well suited to a make believe league like in Germany with red bull playing fc Pepsi.

All the greatest managers have tested themselves in Serie A; Ancelotti, Mourinho, Capello, Sacchi, Trappatoni etc. Klopp and Guardiola have avoided, of course, as did Ferguson and Wenger

Lads getting fierce excited about the home of corruption and lads in tight trousers driving scooters.

World Cup? They haven’t won a knockout game since 2006 or even qualified for one since 2014 ffs. The Germans have a World Cup more recently if you’re using those metrics. Very similar UEFA coefficients, although the Italian league has become more competitive in recent years with the end of Juve’s monopoly.

I’d say lads on here would have helped cover Juve’s tracks when they were *match fixing in the mid-00’s.

*Not to be confused with the 1970’s/80’s match fixing that Rossi was banned over.

Real Madrid got their current manager from Everton.

Perhaps Sean Dyche can expect a call from the Bernabeu at some stage over the next year or two.

great stuff, taking alonso from Leverkusen should be ok then

Yes back in the 80s they bribed refs to get past Dundee United but Bruce Grobbelaar drove them demented on their own patch

The Premier League is the absolute pinnacle of club football, Like Italy in the late 80’s and early 90’s

It wasn’t always but for sure in the past decade it’s never been more Prestigious

Spain seems to be the most successful over the last 10 years?

The prestige of a Premier League title is at its pinnacle over the past decade as opposed to the previous ones

You can sense the fear in lads. They were confident that Liverpool would decline once Klopp departed but there’s a slow realisation that Alonso may just be the next best thing.

The next best thing to 2nd is 3rd
