Epl 2011/2012

Backed Wolves today at 11/4 on Betfair. What a steal they were. How could a team managed by Big Mick be 11/4 shots.

I had a small ā‚¬3 treble of Wolves, Bolton and Fulham, shame it didnā€™t come in

Unlucky mateā€¦

Anyone watching the Arsenal game?

Gervinho sent off for slapping Barton. All started after Gervinho went down in the area, looked like a dive at the time, Barton comes in and pulls Gervinho off the pitch, rumpus ensues, Gervinho gives Barton a little slap, Barton makes an absolute meal of it. Taylor claims it was an elbow.

The irony is Barton loses it over Gervinho diving, then goes and indulges in some playacting himself to get his opponent sent ofā€¦

In hindsight there was contact, Iā€™d like to see it again on whether it was Gervinho that went looking for it or if indeed he was fouled.

Hilarious stuff. Cunt acting of the highest order by Barton and Taylor. Still think it was a dive though. Song should have got red for a stamp on Barton earlier.

Arsenal have absolutely no cutting edge here.

Odd stuff seeing Barton being embraced warmly by most of the Arsenal players at the end, (not to mention being applauded off by the fans.)

unless he is going to be a team mate in very near futureā€¦

I think he had convinced them that Gervinho had landed a haymaker on him.

Wasnā€™t Diaby sent off last year for hitting Barton too? Youā€™d think Wegner would have warned his players to beware of Lil Joey.

Disappointing result that yesterday for Liverpool. Home to Sunderland is a game youā€™d need to be winning and should have been out of sight at half time. Mind you Sunderland had much the better of the second half and could have won.

Liverpool looked very tired to me in the second half, not just Suarez. Defensively very shaky, even in the first half, although I thought Jose Enrique was very good. Adam looked very ordinary in the second half and Henderson was ordinary throughout. Big match next weekend - dont want to lose it anyway.

Who are Liverpool playing next weekend Farmer?

Only saw the Premiership highlights last night but didnā€™t seem to be much happening for Liverpool in the second half alright. Very reliant on Suarez as a team and with rushing him back from international duty youā€™d have to fear for his chances of lasting the season.

Arsenal away.

Sky using the wrestlemania theme song for this year for Super Sunday.

Drogba on the bench for Chelsea.

One day in to this boring shit and its all about barton again.
Fucking roll on next June

Chelsea have played well today. The much maligned Obi Mikel has had a great game for them.

Another terrible mistake by De Gea today allowing Shane Longā€™s tame shot under his body. A debut goal for the Irish internationalist.

1-1 with 25 minutes left.

Can David De Gea handle it on a wet and windy night in the Brittania?

He was very good, so was Ramires. They deserved to win really and should have had a penalty for the Torres incident. Stoke defended well though. Woodgate is still class and will be a great addition for them if he stays fit.

Only saw the second half of the United game, wasnā€™t very impressive with the exception of Young. They defended well in the last 10 minutes considering Vidic and Ferdinand went off though. Both of them going off in the first game of the season is not a good sign. Havenā€™t seen de Geaā€™s mistake yet. Heā€™ll need to bulk up a bit too I think to make himself a more imposing physical presence.

Definitely the better side, Torres looked more like the player he was at Liverpool and they played some nice football. Mikel is the kind of player who would benefit hugely from having someone like Modric beside him, Chelsea for as long as I can remember have not had a midfielder who is comfortable with the ball and this may explain why he hasnā€™t prospered as much. If they can get an attacker with some maverick quality in as well as Modric then Iā€™d tip them for a very strong season.

A typical United away win in recent times. Start well and go ahead with an early goal. Then try and push on for the 2nd but get pulled back with a great goal/fuck up. But per usual United find a way to win and that they did late on. De Gea will learn from this mistake. Young was outstanding. Always looked a threat when he was on the ball. Uniteds injuries are worrying with Ferdy5 out for 6 weeks. Rafael gone for the best part of 3 months. Vidic could miss a couple of weeks and Evra missed today. At least Phil Jones and Evans can come in. Shows the depth of the squad that you can bring the quality of these lads on to replace Ferdy5/Vidic.
