I’ve decided that I’m a fan of Andre Villas-Boas and I would like to wish Chelsea well this season in the Premiership.

Chelsea, Man City and Swansea will be the teams I look out for in this overrated and bland league as they are the only teams who have thinking managers who understand the importance of tactics.

Only seen a few minutes of this game but Long’s movement is very impressive. He’s constantly asking questions of the Chelsea centre backs - not afraid to drift offside to find space and then moving across the line as the defenders retreat towards him.

I have concluded that Villas-Boas will have to transition Lampard out of the team fairly quickly if Chelsea are going to be successful this season.
