The Guardian went in heavy on the Norwegian Kris Boyd. Basically making the point he’s a great man to plunder goals against diddy teams in run of the mill wins but found wanting when you need a pivotal goal in a huge game or final. The exact opposite to Adam Idah really.

He’s certainly got a lot of soul searching to do this Summer. Another season like this wont do. Its ok for the likes of Harry Kane to win the golden boot doing fuck all good for his team, but it wont be tolerated at the Champions.
Has he not been top scorer in the last two seasons with his team winning the league?
The only searching required is from other teams to look for a way to stop this goal scoring league winning machine.

Apparently his 100th game for City was last week and he now has 10 hat-tricks for them. Great to see a fella thrive at a club with such strong family connections, shows that there is still space for tradition within the game.
