Euro 2012 - Match discussion thread

Should be a nice atmosphere at the Polish game tonight, being reported that the Russian fans plan to march, 5,000 strong, through Warsaw on their way to the game to mark their National Day. Something the Poles should be well used to having seen in the past no doubt.

Great start by the Czechs. 2 up after 6 mins

The Greeks defending like Chocolate Mice

Very easy so far for them. Greece look all over the place at the back

I do have them in the sweepstakes.

Shocking from Cech.

2-1

Chickened out of it with a defender near. Awful cowardice. Thought he looked timid the other night too.

Big time. Take off that scrum cap FFS sake.

Samaras is one infuriating player.

Terrific ball by Samaras for the goal.

I am thoroughly enjoying Brian Kerr’s contributions to this tournament so far

reports of running battles through the streets of warsaw before tonight’s game…

See post at top of this thread. That was never going to go off quietly.

serious hatred between these two countries…and unlike your stereotypical overweight beer belly, egg and chips eating ,chair throwing English lager louts these eastern european hooligans can really fight…

Didi Hamann adamant that the Greeks have been screwed. Good to see there’s one German who’ll stick up for them.

Russians started it. Complete provocation looking to have a parade on their Independence Day down through Warsaw.

To be fair to the Russians they had done it many many times in the past with little response from the Polish.

Except for 15 August 1920, “the miracle on the Wisla”. They need another miracle tonight

Fair point.

Kenny’s optimism is being slowly eroded by Eamon and Didi here.
