Is it unusual that Pickford met the England takers with the ball on the walk up?
They made a big thing about this back in 2018 too when they had the shoot-out with Colombia. Something about not letting the opposition interfere with the process (sometimes the other keeper would have the ball and delay or go out and eyeball the kicker and hand it over etc). They formulated this routine where Pickford would present the ball to the player as they made their way to the box.
Ya. Itās interesting anyway do other teams do it as well. Watch it here again and tv coverage is terrible.
