Mainoo played his first adult games in November. After a bad enough injury too.
Interesting players for some posters to try and slate.

He was superb for Arsenal in the premier league this season.
He is a serious athlete in fairness to him. If he was Spanish, heād probably be playing as a defender I suppose.
Was he though? Were they that much better than they were last season without him? He gave them a bit of depth but for a 100m player Iād be wanting a lot more
Declan Arroz
Na he was superb.
Lads here donāt like rice for obvious reasons but heās an extremely good defensive mid fielder.
England centre backs never played together and he never played with Mainoo until two games ago.
Doesnāt make things easy for a player like him.
Its funny, Cuccurella has pobably shamed Chelsea into giving him another go next season. The set up these lads play in makes such a difference. The likes of Odeegard dropping deep and Ben White/Saliba playing out covers a lot of what Rice doesnāt do I guess. He isnāt great on the turn and in tight spaces anyway, but is a great man to cover ground. I thought he was a better passer than what we saw.
I disagree. I donāt think heād come within an asses roar of the Spain midfield.
Sure your man Fabian Ruiz is a good player but heās not exactly pulling up trees for psg.
He looked alright in the euros.
And Spain are missing Pedri and Gavi, two midfield starters

No doubt very good players but again theyāve been found wanting in a lot of big games for Barcelona. They are younger though.
I think rice is very good in a certain system. I wouldnāt ever consider him rubbish anyway.
Heās not rubbish. But heās not as good as his price tag suggests. And heās not alone in that regard in the English squad.

I wouldnāt ever judge a player on a price tag.
Premier league club to premier league will always put a premium on a player plus heās English which adds to it. Contract length in West Ham would also have an impact on the fee. Plus there was a bidding war of sorts too
Will be interesting see what Bellingham does as a more orthodox midfielder for Madrid next season. He is going to have to carry a bit more water maybe with the new arrival. He looks a pure number ten to me, big lad but seems to gas out a bit. England have a lot of gadgety, specialist players.
Yeah heāll have to move back the pitch a bit anyway. Real could have a job in fitting in all the attacking talent they have
Iād push him right up as a striker. Heās good in the box.
For sure, I thought he was more of a creative player, tempo setter than he really is; more I see of him, he is a Gerard/Lampard get on the end of things/killer moments type of player.
If they can get one of Vini or MBappe to play up front, he should get the number 10 I suppose.
I wouldnāt ever judge a player on a price tag.
No shit.

He came up trumps for them with late winners against Man Utd and Luton. Real leadership when they were on the cusp of dropping points. Went back to West Ham and scored two crackers, kick-started their comeback from 2-0 down at Chelsea. He was good in fairness to him.
England were 1-0 up and dominating Croatia in a semi-final. Thatās the āreal chanceā.
Were they? Harry Kane had one big chance but Croatia assumed complete control thereafter. In any case I think France wouldāve beaten them quite comfortably in the final. Euro 2020 (21ā really) and World Cup 22ā were the two real opportunities as youāve alluded to.
The euros just over, won by a beautiful Spanish side.
And paddy footix is talking about Declan rice and arsenal and mason greenwood
Never change
