Ingerland and kane in particular has copied johnny foreigner in the diving stakes.
The game which was etched in my mind was Russia from 2016. An early goal, crowd trouble against a genuinely dangerous opposing faction. All it was lacking was a calamitous late equaliser. Serbia are better than that Russian team but England are also stronger than their Roy Hodgson managed 2016 equivalent.
I’d put England 0-0 Algeria (2010) in that last category too.
Didi reckoned Bowen played well when came on. I thought he was a liability. Kept kicking the ball back to the Serbs in dangerous positions.
