Wonderful, I’ve a lump in my throat, can’t beat the athletics
Ah that’s great.
Great stuff.
No doubt the Brazilian correspondent will have a contrarian view tweeted shortly.
Barr seems like a sound guy. He was excellent there.
RTE cock up there trackside.
Barr comes across as a thoroughly likeable chap. Maith an fear.

Phil Healy into the semi finals of her 200M.

Tony ran in the famous mile race in Santry where Herb Elliott broke the World Record. The 60th anniversary of that race was this week. That would put Tony in his 80’s. Dan Carberry from Carlow was the youngest runner in that race, on his 19th birthday.

hard luck Ciara Mageean there,
brilliant effort
Liz Macolgan’s daughter running here now in the 5k cc @Sidney
Paul Carberry-esque carry on from 10k champion Salpeter hands little Lizzie a silver.
Oh my God
Awesome sprinting by the brilliant Dina Asher-Smith to turn fourth place into a thumping win for Great Britain in the women’s 4x100 relay.
She should just use the initial letter of her first name, because she’s some dasher.
