European Super League Super Thread

This will certainly give more credence to those who say the clubs are doing this for shellfish reasons .

is there anyone actually in favour of this?

Uefa, fifa and all leading broadcasters have driven the game to here and are now crying foul

Ordinary fans have long been priced out of the game, this will be a final nail.

JP will surely get Treaty to the table.

Yes, the shareholders and investors of the “super League,” clubs

Some coup for Arsenal to get invited.

I think this is an unintended consequence of financial fair play. Clubs are now on far better footing in terms of finance and income/expenditure ratio. The only way for the big boys to get an even bigger slice is to force the issue.

ok, I’ll rephrase, anyone who wasnt involved in setting it up?

There’s been talks of it for years now - youre right that fair play has probably sped it up… I cant wait for it. Liverpool v Juve first game, we’ll murder the bastards.

Anybody who puts boot into UEFA is alright by me.

Klopp came out against this in 2019.

He will have to resign now I guess or else will be seen as a charlatan

Progressive men change their minds regularly. The closed minders will never get that.

From what I understand now is it’s the big clubs telling UEFA to shove their Champions League and that they’re running it.

I think UEFA, FIFA and all the football associations need to tell them to shove it and the other clubs need to strongly object to it.

It’s strongarming by big clubs who are gaining and ever growing control over football. The FAs should kick those clubs out of Europe. Ban the players from international football and get on with things.

I think it was @Rocko who said that this is a ploy who bully through what they want with the CL, it’s not for UEFA to actually to go the other way and tell them they won’t be dictated to.

Spurs and Arsenal? Like wtf?

Fuck UEFA.

Leicester have been better than Arsenal on the pitch for the last 7 years or so.

All uefa want is a cut, then they’ll be fine and dandy.
