They did in their hole.

Might as well call off the Carling Cup final seeing as both teams couldn’t give a shot about it. Award PSG the champions league.

Could be a decent title race between Leicester and West Ham.

Leicester could do the double.

When this collapse, it’s Liverpool and Barca who should suffer the most

Live blog transcript of Perez’s interview (shudders):

Hopefully they do that and completely destroy themselves.

The reason 16-24 year old are losing interest in football is because it’s always the same teams in the quarter finals of the champions league and the top of the Premier league.

The reasons clubs are in financial difficulty is because they spend too much on wages and transfer fees.

Football chose to do that, or to allow the businessmen to do it. And to price young people out of the stadiums and to remove the games from free television. These were conscious decisions made 30 years ago. Pricing young people out of the stadiums steadily removed the game as an element of popular culture for young people.

My sources tell me there is no legally binding contracts.

Be hard for them to row back now. Apparently city and Chelsea only went along as they were afraid of missing out and weren’t overly enthusiastic. Presumably they are the two wavering.
The Spanish clubs are all broke, so they need this and the italian clubs are lucky to even be invited to the party at this stage. The cracks will come on the English side you’d think

The juventus owner who’s family have owned juve since the 1920s seems to be one of driving forces.

Ya himself and Perez. The Spanish clubs are in a bad way financially. Barca especially. An Italo-Spanish league might be the outcome

As somebody said on twitter if man United or Liverpool were playing Real Madrid in Dublin in the super league it would sell out 5 times over.

Didn’t the premier league float the idea of everyone playing an extra game a season and it would be played in neutral venues all over the world a couple of years ago?

Sure if Liverpool played their reserves in Dublin it would sell out
