The Super League will be put on pause - the clubs involved will get a bigger revenue stream from their leagues/Europe, UEFA will get their fill. We can all go on pretending the world is right again then.
Naw.
They can get tae fuck.
That’s all we want
That’s not gonna happen as the other teams in their leagues need them…well maybe not Juve, but Spain and the EPL need those clubs or they’re fucked.
To nobody’s surprise, Pirlo has fallen in

Is Pirlo the first manager or player to come out and back it?
Unless you count Alexei Lalas he’s the first I’ve seen.
The Italians the main driving force it seems.
The greaseballs would do anything for a taste

LIVERPOOL CONFIRM EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE PLACE | WHAT JURGEN KLOPP SAID ABOUT PLANS
It has been five years since John W. Henry, Tom Werner and Mike Gordon put their names to a statement, claiming they were “troubled” by the perception that they “don’t care about our supporters, that we are greedy, and that we are attempting to extract personal profits at the club’s expense.”
I hope they slept well last night.
I didn’t. Nor did the hundreds of thousands of supporters they claim to represent as news broke of their involvement in a radical reshape of the entire structure of European football.
With no consultation whatsoever with those who will be most affected.
The European Cup, which has formed a stirring and substantial chapter of Liverpool 's storied history, will be ripped up.
And not a single Liverpool fan’s view was canvassed. The fans who will be expected to provide the atmospheric backdrop to the new league were taken for granted. Again.

Hundreds of Liverpool staff members were informed of the decision. Via email. At 8.39am this morning. Hours after the statement had appeared on the club’s website.
It seems that the players were not consulted either.
And unless Jurgen Klopp has undergone a Damascene conversion since his 2019 comments - here’s a summary “I hope this Super League will never happen … why should we create a system where Liverpool faces Real Madrid for 10 straight years?” - it would appear he has not been consulted either.
Tonight’s press briefings should make for very interesting viewing.
Because Henry, Werner and Gordon appear to have ripped up almost 70 years of European tradition and history without a single word of explanation why.
Obviously we can guess at the motivation.
The restructure, or as much as we can glean from the handful of tournament rules we have seen, is widely unpopular.
But at least Juventus chief Andrea Agnelli and Manchester United’s Joel Glazer had the courage of their convictions and put their names to statements explaining their motives.
"Increased financial support for the wider football pyramid,” apparently.

Open letter to John Henry
But from Liverpool’s triumvirate - silence.
Even the statement on Liverpool’s website was unsigned.
But it is clear who is driving this cleaving from the club’s heritage.
If Henry, Werner and Gordon are genuinely “troubled” that they may be perceived as not caring about supporters, an explanation about such a radical change to those supporters’ match viewing habits would be welcomed.
In 2016 Henry, Werner and Gordon concluded with the statement: "the widespread opposition to this element of the plan has made it clear that we were mistaken.
"Message received.
"We believe we have demonstrated a willingness to listen carefully, reconsider our position, and act decisively. The unique and sacred relationship between Liverpool Football Club and its supporters has always been foremost in our minds. It represents the heartbeat of this extraordinary football club.

So listen now.
Tell the fans why you are planning to radically shake up a key part of the club’s heritage and tradition.
And take their feelings on board.
Unless those words penned five years ago were just so much empty gestures and hypocrisy.
Surely the ban on players playing international football will put a stop to this. South american players will be lynched if they don’t play for their countries.
Bayern have told them to do one.
Mad to think anyone would ever turn down the opportunity to play spurs and Arsenal every year but there you go
