The last decade in the EPL has thrown up 5 different winners, Liverpool ended a 30 year wait for a league win, Citeh a 44 year wait and Leicester won it for the first time.
You were getting all excited earlier today about the possibility of a novel winner in your beloved Spanish League next season, if not even this season - Barcelona.
The Dutch/Belgian league, a scadanvian league, a Estonia/Latvia/Lithuania combo, a Poland Ukraine/Hungary combo etc etc even a celtic league would all make more sense for football.
The teams looking to break away are already the elite. Whereas merging other leagues might allow some of the smaller countries to get stronger. But of course that’s not what they actually want.
Imagine a balkan league @mickee321 now that would be fucking box office
I haven’t made any comment on any leagues in here. Boycott came thundering in taking issue with my throwaway comment about nobody wanting to watch Liverpool play Burnley as it upset his little Englander mindset
Yeah my quick google of the 1966-67 European Cup informed me that Waterford were representing Ireland that year and lost the 1st round match 12-1 on aggregate to East German opposition.
