Even more mayhem regarding Limerick

so called?

The greater limerick NYC streets quarter does not encourage skangers to live nearby.

Could easily be Champs-Élysées, stunning

There’s no doubt that busy nights during the week do rely on students.

There’s 14,000 students in UL, a few thousand in both Mary I & LIT.

Obviously if you take 20k people out of the reckoning, plus holidays, etc; there’s going to be a fair dent in the amount of people out late during the middle of the week.

But the Locke has been mobbed pretty much every evening for the last two weeks. So have Katie Daly’s, JJ Bowles, the White House, Crew. And the likes of Flannerys, Myles Breens, the Glen all seem to be doing their usual business.

Maybe the late night places are quieter during the week, you would imagine so.

But I’m sure Angel Lane & Molly’s will be flying once the Leaving Cert ends.

Five guys would be box office

That’s your second reply to the post, you must be fair rattled at the death of the city.

I was even aware I was attled before.

Limerick is in as good a place as it has been in 40 years. Retail is dying, but that’s everywhere. They need to get more people living in the city, same as everywhere. A lot done, a lot more to do, Limerick abu

Did you visit all of them?

I don’t think the students drink much in town?

I’ve drank in 6 of the above + Sexton’s over the past two weeks. It’s nice to have a pint or two in the sun.

Students can’t get in a lot of places but you would see a good helping of them around town alright; they seem to be richer than I was when I was a student. Although, a lot of students would only be arriving in around 11pm, maybe go to one pub first and then on somewhere else.

Needs a few more quarters

In terms of night life it’s pretty shocking. House/amber is the most terrible place ever. Icon reopening might improve it but options are thin.

Nancy’s has turned into a bit of a Kip. Seems to be closed some nights too for the first few months of the year anyway.

I’d say across the country the night life trade is struggling tbf.

I doubt you’re a crew man

Nightclubs are gone all over. Late bars and cocktails and that shite are in. 101 is hoovering up all the bidness I’d say.

Nancys was always a kip.

A lot of places can’t get staff now, Myles Breens closes Monday and Tuesday even though he could be open, because he just can’t get people

We need to know if he has a greyhound or not

I was in one Monday and you couldn’t get a pint around Limerick at 11 pm. Twas erry stuff.

I never minded Nancy’s as a late night spot. Always a decent mix of people in there I found and not insufferable like house.

@myboyblue loves it as well. Ye are kindered spirits really

10 years ago for the Munster final in 2013 all the rage was crush and the orchard I think.

Dunno was house still open but the icon was we still in full flow.

Flannerrys opposite the icon used to be ok back then too. I haven’t been in that in years.

The black rabbit is supposed to be the spot that side of town these days.

We ended up in the Still House the Munster final day, please God I will again on Sunday

You meet the best people there, and when the Tequila song comes on, its off the hook.
