I made a hitch for a trailer for my leaving cert project
I had a dog like that once, …if you gave him a kick in the arse he’d make a bolt for the door
I still have the musket
ironically, your preferred period of history was the english civil war when you dressed as a roundhead
Prince Philip once said …“I never went to university and it didn’t do me any harm”

** This day 16 years ago I failed the Leaving Cert. Fast forward to 2019 and our business, The Dough Bros, made it onto the Leaving Cert Business Paper **
To all the kids getting their Leaving Cert results today and got what they were looking for, well done To those that are feeling disappointed…Take some advice from us… Today is a big day but it does not define you!
Sometimes the set backs that happen that feel like the end of the world turn out to be the best thing that can happen to you.
That year failing the Maths exam and having to repeat, thought me a hard lesson, that success doesn’t come without hard work.
Repeating, or even starting on a new path outside of education, may seem overwhelming and hard to get your head around. But it could be the making of you. It could be the year that you finally find your focus. The year you find clarity in what you want to study and where. Or like in my case, could be the year you surprise yourself and realise your capabilities. It could lead you on another path to a different University where you will go on to meet a new set of friends you will have for life. You just don’t know. Everything happens for a reason.
Credit to the SEC for acknowledging small to medium sized businesses in the Leaving Cert Paper
nobody fails anything anymore
It’s in all walks of life now. Everyone gets a medal
Look at the Spuds fans.
What did the oul fella say when you asked about putting a towbar on the Bentley?
Didn’t teach you any English.
What happens to the students who are shit at maths?
Growth mindset versus fixed mindset
Maths is focused on with everyone, trying to bring everyone up to their maximum potential. That is a good idea for life in general but also the Leaving Cert where you have to do it either way. Too many schools allow people to just get by.
I wonder if dough brothers even bother asking for qualifications on their application forms
I have my first real exam in a long long time tomorrow. I dunno how I’ll cope with 2.5 hours of writing. I’m not sure I even remember how to write.
Prof 2?
No, this is a real exam
