We didn’t want it to be too slippy now either.
Would you believe the daughter-in-law walked away with the bull-nose inside in the childs buggy.
I used a potato-peeler like I did on the top piece. It’s grand…

What kind of bolts are these?

Tidy finish. Not like the expansion bolts with the thread sticking out the top.

Could they be those self thread concrete bolts? Only ever used them once. Tricky enough screw in. But I was up a ladder at the time.

Does that look like a timber step?

You asked what kind of bolts they were. You’re welcome.

I’m a friendly guy.
But we’re talking concrete here.

There are coach screws for concrete too. I’m not a massive fan of them because you need to be very exact with the hole drilled for them. Cunts have a habit of breaking too when they’re half way in.

Thunderbolts are the job if you are going into a mass concrete wall.

Chemical anchor for anything big or structural. I hate Rawl bolts

I need to buy a drill, the current one is shite and won’t charge properly anymore.

I use the drill a handful of times a month, generally for very basic shit. It does not need to be in anyway high spec.

But at the same time I want it to do the job, the last one was cheap and caused me nothing but hassle. What brands am I looking for/avoiding? And how much should one spend

Keep an eye out in Screwfix for sales or go to BnQ and pick up a Ryobi. You don’t need a big brand name for hanging pictures

Have you ever heard of Kuzupro, THE INTERNET, told me it’s a good intersection between price and quality

The Ryobi will do you a long time and won’t break the bank, they also have their own brand call Erbauer or something like it which will do you either.

I’ve never heard of that make no

I picked up a top of the line DeWalt with 2 5ah batteries for €110 off Chadwick’s. Basically paid for two batteries and got the drill for free, those deals do pop up every now and then.

Go brushless and you want a metal transmission. Plastic ones are guaranteed to break when you use masonry bits

They do,I got a DeWalt drill about a month ago on sale for basically the price of 2 batteries that I was going to buy anyways.

You can’t go wrong with Makita. A few different tools will have common batteries.
