Faldo's DIY General thread

@Corksfinedtboy going to paint a timber external door the weekend. Well, it’s behind a sliding porch door, so is not subject to the elements. It’s currently either varnished or stained not sure. Can I just sand down and paint over, going to paint it Yellow or would I need to prime it first.

Medium sand
Water based under coat
2 coats of water based satinwood bud

That’s it on the door
( that was pine 2 days ago)
And the ceiling/ porch roof

It’s seriously easy,
Water based
And fool proof

( make sure all shine sanded off
Hoover and wash with white spirits before applying)

I’m going doing the same thing when finally finished this fucking driveway

The paint you recommend to me a while back goes on very well, skirting came up lovely. Used it on an internal door too. I used it on the pillar tops then, worked out a treat.

I’ve been landed with painting the daughters bedroom tomorrow & Sunday. My wife is taking them off to the in-laws for the weekend and the room is to be done by their return.
