Faldo's DIY General thread

I couldn’t understand how that worked.
So here’s the video…

At €10.95 each, they’d want to work.

They’re the job. I hung a mirror recently above my stairs. Weighty fucker too. Those self-drilling hooks are the job. I got them for 1/4 of that price from local hardware tho. 7.99 for a pack of 3.

I find Screwfix normally the best on price.
But that link says one only…

Needle nose vice grips. Common problem.

Some serious mugging off goes on in those DIY superstores. Lads should be going to their local hardware/farm supply store.

I think it works both ways.
You just need to be careful…

Great idea

This is the DIY thread not the DIE thread.

Plumbing problem.

Cold water supply is ok to kitchen sink from mains. Attic tanks have emptied and I can’t see a run on another tap or toilet cistern. No obvious leaks

A hidden leak?

Dirt stuck in your ball cock.
It can be taken apart but moving it up and down a few times might sort it.

Water still flowing to the attic tanks as usual but they won’t refill, flowing out as quick

Sounds serious.
What comes in must go out. But that’s a serious leak.

I’m stumped.
Is the boiler condenser overflowing, if you have one?
