Faldo's DIY General thread

Anybody any experience/can recommend bathroom refurbishment companies in Dublin or who work in Dublin to “do” two bathrooms.

It’s for my own house and not the tenement I rent out so something decent.

You’d be afraid to leave a cup of tea on it for fear it would tip over.

it’s like looking up at the slopes of the Galtees …he won’t be able to put on thing down on it.

I’d have gone with a gas hob myself, but carry on

I like the roundy bit. Gives it a certain níl fhios agam.

The wooden worktops are the dog’s bollox. Expensive but not in a 2007 kind of way. I’d pave the garden in granite just for badness.

Is fear dona thú.

I’d go granite worktops myself as I’d have wood ones destroyed, but it looks lovely Mike.

Would you not just sand them down and refinish them?

I’d assume that’s a laminate worktop. Absolutely nothing wrong with them. They are bomb proof for a fraction of the cost of stone.

Would all depend on the type of timber it is

That’s an awful dig at Mike’s worktop.

I’m assuming oak…but I wouldn’t be surprised if he has walnut

The worktop is shit alright but I’d be more worried about the lads charging him 6 days labour to put in a kitchen… Taking the piss.

Nice job! Are you painting or tiling above the upstand on the countertop?
