Without a shadow of a doubt the most overrated band in the history of music.

To think that there were so many more quality English bands out there at the time that didn’t get a look in because the English press blew their loads of this utterly ordinary group is the real tragedy.

Ah U2 could never be described as being shit*.

With or Without You and Sunday Bloody Sunday are excellent songs.

Just never had a desire to buy any of their albums.

Snow Patrol most definitely are shit though.

I’m not one for sweeping statements but Oasis are in my opinion the greatest band of all time. If they had broken up in the immediate aftermath of Knebworth and never put out another record or if one of the Gallaghers had died of a drugs overdose or something they would undoubtedly have been hailed as such. In the long run keeping going as a band was the worst career move they could have made as they are now easy targets for every know-nothing music hack who felt left out of the party back in 1995/96. Saying Oasis are shite is probably the most lazy, cliched and boring thing a music journo can say. Obviously they aren’t as good now - it would be impossible to keep up the standard of the first few years. But I challenge anyone to name a band with a better back catalogue.

How do U2 have 3 songs in the top 5, what was Fanning up to. I hate those cunts with a passion.

Snow Patrol aren’t shit they are just average. Like most bands around nowadays.
