FAO Chartered Accountants

Depends what kind of job he is doing though. If it was someone like @Colin Montgomerie exercising professional judgement involving millions of Euro and affecting the lives of millions of people it would be serious. But this lad is probably still at the photocopying and going to the shop stage of his career.

Any south east based chartered accountants attending the Leinster Society’s wine tasting evening in The National Opera House (formerly known as Wexford Opera House) on Thursday 13th November? The event commences at 7pm and will encompass a tour of the Opera House before wine tasting begins. Food plates will be served throughout the evening. Cost €20.

For those who passed their FAEs today - have a wonderful day.

For those that failed or got credits - chin up, there are more important things in life than exams.

National average was 50% pass rate.

Amazing how the pass rate for those exams fell and rose with the economy.

Not that amazing. You would have to assume that in a booming economy students can more readily see the rewards that are available to those that pass and hence try that bit harder.

That’s one way of looking at it.

Wow, where do the years go? I received my FAE results 10 years ago today.

Fuck sake.

Any of ye fuckers an expert on income tax?

yep, sure am

If I PM you a personal question with some private details, do you promise to treat it seriously and not mock me?

yes

Having considered this, maybe not.

Anybody else?

I listened to accountants for long enough that I could throw out some lingo such as witholding tax, preliminary tax etc if that’s any use to you?

I love a bit of generic lingo as much as the next man, my friend but in this instance some actual informed (free) advice would be welcome.

I’m a qualified chartered accountant, bro. However, it’s not my day job and I don’t keep particularly up to date on standards, regulations, laws and what have you. But I know a man that does: @briantinnion. You should ask him.
