But the people are the salt of the earth.
To quote Puke when heâs upsetâŚâhow is it?â
Wexford town could not be described as a kip under any definition. Itâs a tremendous place.

never liked it âŚits an eyesore âŚthe town is totally on top of itselfâŚperfect location for Game of Thrones if they wanted to show the life of the beggars beyond the castle wallsâŚnarrow winding streets that go nowhere⌠hook nosed dodgy types hanging round at every corner⌠a kip!..
Nice one, will give that a look on Sunday.
You sure youâre not thinking of the Christchurch / Dame St area?
Ironic comments from scumpot on Wexford town considering the mass exodus of drug addled scumbags to holiday in Courtown & Wexford County every summer.
I find this comment most objectionable.
Off to Wexford next week - any more suggestions on things to do there (with a baby).
Is there any decent JFK stuff around New Ross? Is New Ross enough of a shithole to count against the JFK stuff or does JFK and the famine ship (near there?) make it a worthwhile visit?
Will you be staying in or visiting my ancestorâs house at any stage?
Even though my parents are elderly at this stage donât even think about trying to take their house too.
Bloody Dubs, come down and try to take everything from us.
Gman â so is the JFK homestead not in the actual JFK Park? Rocko, do not under any circumstances go to New Ross town itself to get on the famine ship or whatever it is. It may be acceptable to go to the homestead / park pending clarification from Gman as these places are outside New Ross itself on the Wexford town side of the slum. I was in JFK Park years ago but I canât recall much about it. Itâs probably a grand place to go for a stroll (paths, trees, gardens, shrubbery etc) so it might suit you with the kid.

Mac â whereabouts is that new centre? Is it up by Vinegar Hill itself? Surely a stroll up Vinegar Hill would be worthwhile for Rocko. But is it safe up there?

scumpot â the narrow, winding, cobbled streets of Wexford town are a delight. Rocko, check out the tunnelled alley ways on the main street (think of the tunnel down to do a piss in that pub off OâConnell Street) which allowed locals to flee to Wexford harbour away from Cromwellâs forces. Check out the Pikeman statue in the Bull Ring. Oh Wexford is a town I like.

Its the 1798 centre thatâs been there for years Bandage. Just rebranded. Safely located beside the CBS
TFK posters love a good rebrand.

no, the homestead is in Dunganstown, which is off to the right as you head towards Fethard from New Ross. The Park is about 5 miles away from there, definitely not the same place anyway.
as Bandage says though Rocko, youâd be better heading here and staying out of New Ross and go around the Hook Penninsula. A penninsula lover such as yourself would admire a different coastal setting than what you are used to in Dublin.

And who the fuck head towards Fethard, bar of course its inhabitants. âas you head towards hook headâ would be far more acceptable a turn of phrase.
itâs what the big fucking sign leaving New Ross says anyway! Or else Arthurstown, but who the fuck would use Arthurstown as a point of direction!
How come when I see reference to Hook Head and the Hook peninsula I think of Mac?
Cos all 3 are related to Wexford?
It does in my fuck say thatâŚit says Arthurstown or Campile, Fethard? fuck off with your Fethard. Duncannon one could understand but fuckin fethard? fuck off.
