Fenwaypark's National Hunt Betting 2013/2014

I will be putting up selections over the course of the jump’s season, beginning today with the Munster National and concluding with the Punchestown Festival.

This is not a thread for those looking to back short price winners as I wont be putting up any bets under 2-1.

The focus of this thread will be on selecting what I perceive to be value selections.

Bets will be rated on a 1-5 pt scale. I will update P&L after each selection runs.

Please leave all discussions for the ‘Sport of Kings’ thread as that is where it belongs. Good luck to those who follow.

Bet 1 - 4.50 Limerick
2pts win 1 pt place Go all the way 25-1
Ladbrokes 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4.

I’m going to have a blind bet here based on my liking of Fenway. 10 bucks on each. Know absolutely nothing about horses.

@fenwaypark - I have been listening to a local guy tipping in the radio here and he is the Weight manager for WA Racing. He is remarkably on the ball and the hosts of the show claim to make a fortune off him. Is this normal and legal in say Ireland that a guy so involved in the racingorganization is on air giving tips?

I know racing is dodgy te world over, but it seems particularly suspect here. The traps in particular are rigged a lot if people think.

By weight manager, I guess you mean handicapper? It would not be that unusual for a handicapper to give tips, as he is just giving his interpretation of how a race will unfold.

Unlike many tipsters, he looks at it primarily from a maths perspective.
