Fenwaypark's National Hunt Betting 2013/2014

i’d be on board with Al Ferof and Zark also…think Zarkander could be a machine over the longer trips. Perhaps a worry re Al Ferof due to his sire, they sometimes do their best work early in their careers but he wouldn’t even have to be at his best form to win this. He’s a smashing horse

Zarkandar is running over his best trip and is probably best horse in training at this point over 2m 4f. He is also very good fresh. The mare still has to prove she can justify the hype. She may well be single price for Champion Hurdle after saturday but prices are wrong.

5pts win Gullinbursti 7-1

GEVREY CHAMBERTIN @ 9-1

He has a lot of question marks after the way he ended last campaign. Lavelle horses were all wrong last year. As a result Gullinbursti is very well handicapped as witnessed by his debut over fences last time out. Two Rockers is greatly respected, while at bigger prices Knock a hand and Lie Forrit are more than interesting.

all pipes horses were wrong ending last year FP - not now

We will have to agree to disagree on that. Dynaste was a Grade 1 winner at Aintree.

ok, all was an exaggeration but most of his fancied horses collapsed at Che

But that’s the Festival, his strike rate in April was 17% and GC was well beaten at Aintree. My point is about GC having questions to answer based upon those performances. Personally, I just think the handicapper has him in his grip, nothing more nothing less. He could not get close to winning on his last two runs off 145, so I cant see 143 making much of a difference.

I don’t think he was right, and that wasn’t his form, beside you don’t back horses after che based on the fact the form tends to taper off so based on your own criteria your argument is null and void

got you there :stuck_out_tongue:

KC,
He was heavily punted by Martin Pipe. They would have done all sorts of tests on him subsequently. If anything had shown up he would not have run at Aintree. Maybe he just is a mid to high 130s rated horse.

He will probably win easy on saturday now;)

It’s not a betting race for me. AP will be receiving plenty of weight off Zarkandar but that one is top drawer especially 1st time out and I wouldn’t bet against him on Sat. That said the mare could hose up. Nicholls will be absolutely sick if Ruby beats him in this, he might have to start getting used to it.

Has to be Zarkandar for me. He’s the proven horse. At worst it’s a 50-50 race and at current prices he’s a bet. Annie Power has all the potential in the world and has all the allowances but is unproven in my opinion.

Think ye are being very unfair on Annie Power.

Unbeaten
Grade 1 winner

When will she lose the “unproven” tag lads ??

When she hammers Zarkandar :stuck_out_tongue:

What has she beaten though?

Which hasnt been much to be fair.

She’s beaten fuck all

Ah come on Mac, thought you were a massive Defy Logic fan.

Beat Don Cossack aswell and Glen’s Melody is a fair mare in her own right.

I think she is going to be very very special.
