Fenwaypark's National Hunt betting 2014/2015
Where are you getting this from.
Savage bumper, the way the front two pulled clear was impressive. Yanworth was very keen and would be happy to reoppose the winner with him if they meet again.
Read it during the week. Yanworth lacks scope, winner galloped all over him in the conditions , good gnd would probably reverse it

Have you seen him? Winner never ran on level. You might as well say he would 62, 72, 102, etc., Different discipline, and until he runs in that code no one knows what rating he could achieve.

I dunno where I got that

3.30 Ascot Minellaforleisure 1pt ew 66-1 (SkyBet BOG 5)

Very interesting! Running off effectively a flat weight with the claim

Bit of a cliff horse for me Dan. Probably needs good ground but track will suit and interesting that they let him take his chance. Was very eyecatching last time out when finishing fourth behind l’ami serge.

I do like Champagne Fever for the KG. Not sure on the Gold Cup though.

Did Al Ferof have any excuses after KG last year?

Al Ferof was suffering from Stomach Ulcers according to connections.

You don’t believe them?

On best form I think he’s a much better horse than those shorter than him in the market.

I do. However stomach ulcers can be a minor or major problem.

Hales is v bullish about AF. He is the value for me.

CF is a smashing horse but he has a record of 2/5 over fences and has flattered to deceive IMO. Arkle run by far and away his best performance over fences not sure history be over kind to the form of that race. Only dodging bullets and CF have won since. It’s taken on trust he will get the trip which he probably will around Kempton but I can’t back him anyways. Wouldn’t mind seeing him win all the same he is a likable sort

I agree , I don’t think there’s any value at all at the top of the market. Last year Hales was suggesting AF was a GC animal, he’s always bigging up his. I know his horses aren’t in form but I’m going to throw 5 ew on jonjos Johns Spirit. Great PP run signifying massive improvement on last year. Probably not quite good enough to win it but I don’t think there’s any vintage 3mls about right now and you never know how it will go

Any news on a return for sir des champs and flemenstar?

SDC has met with another setback, prob gone for year . AFAIk flemenstar reappears soon
