Drumshanbo. Used to be sent up on my school holidays as a kid so spent bit of time there myself. Even played couple football matches. Dessie Doyle the local school principal threw me in.

The venue for the summer jamboree will have to be put to a vote so.
Dessie Doyle wasn’t the worst of them, what years were that @LionelRitchie - just in case there was any U-14 finals Allen Gaels might have codded us out of.

Would I be right in saying the first fleadh of the year is held in drumshambo…pandemic aside?

It’ll be the An Tóstal week of trad, running now for about 60 years. They then knock a week out of the Joe Mooney summer school which generally follows the Willie Clancy week in MM. A great drinking town back in the day, it’s all gentrified of late.
