John O’ Shea managed to beat the Hungarians who were in full Euro prep mode after inheriting the ruins of the Spock era. Spock himself could’ve beaten Portugal in Faro. If CR7 is still selecting the team next year then we may have an outside chance against them. Spock lost to Armenia in Yerevan but did avenge it 3-2 in Dublin in November 22’. I have fond memories of Keith Fahey scoring the winner in Yerevan in a Friday evening September kick-off back in 2010.

Ronaldo won’t retire with a home World Cup on the horizon now. You could easily see him playing into his late 40s early 50s
