Dismissing it if it was replacing one of the 3 runs with swimming or cycling. If he feels well enough to do something else on other days then fire ahead. But given he probably has a low base then recovery is just as important. Again, an unqualified opinion.
so youre saying a sub 60 min is out ?
Not at all.
sub 60 min would be a fair achievement.
I didn’t suggest every day. I suggested a low base 3 times a week and build up from that jogging at whatever pace he was comfortable at.
Just my unqualified opinion. He’s trying to complete a once off 10k race, not become a regular athlete.
So you think he should fuck himself up just for the one race so?
An injury to a knee or similar can seriously reduce quality of life down the road, even shorten it. Anyone should do the bet they can to prepare the best they can with the science and info available at tht time.

Where did I suggest he fuck himself up?
So what ?heCame looking for advice and you gave him shit advice.
In your opinion
If you want to run just run
To say that to an over weight 39 year old office worker is loose advice being kind
You don’ have to be an experienced and qualified coach to see you were giving ignorant advice. Most people would see a huge gap between the advice being offered.
Yes, there was a massive gap between the advice being given by 2 regular runners and a nutjob spoofer who can’t agree with any opinion that isn’t his own.
I don’t really have a problem with you fucking yourself up, just trying to stop you doing it to anyone else.
I run 5 nights a week, does that qualify me for your discussion?
Idiot.
A fun run

Predictable, always predictable. Anyway, best of luck with the run Art. I’ll be sure to think twice about offering advice on a situation very similar to what I would have found myself in a few years ago. In fairness, what was I thinking?
Ya, and your the one who has admitted to constantly getting injured. You couldn’t make it up.
I’m happy to be predictable, most training is about being consistent.
Think about this you fool, just because you drive a car, it doesn’t make you a mechanic

Constantly getting injured eh? Elaborate a bit on that for me please.
There is no need to, you did already.
