Workouts with names are not for footballers.
I have tried the other one P90x which is more weight based
Insanity is more of a cardio thing
Working out at home can be tricky as there are lots of distractions/reasons to stop for a minute whereas if you go outside/to a gym to exercise you are there for a particular purpose
If you want a good fitness dvd for home and not spend a fortune then the jillian michaels ones are quite good and tough enough
Classic menshealth work out.
Pick 3 exercises - they suggest following ( squats just looks dangerous if with significant weight)
Squats
Shoulder Presses
Incline Bench Presses
Cable Crosses
Pull-Ups
Probable better to try for t shirt muscles pre going out - triceps and biceps
Sets, reps and rest

With your first move, perform 7 reps. Then take a 7-second rest. Then perform another 7 reps. Take another 7-second rest. Continue in this way until you have completed 7 sets of 7 reps. Rest for 30 seconds. Then do a 6-rep round: 6 sets of 6 reps with 6-seconds rest between each set. Finish with a 5-rep round to bring the total rep count for that exercise to 110. Take a breather. Then do the whole thing again with two more exercises.
If the objective is muscle growth, aren’t those very low rest times? It sounds more like a cardio workout.
What about my s.i joint, you cunts???
The long run at the weekend is actually my favourite. I like to just turn off the brain and chill out. I never listen to music running. I started the long runs (6-10 miles) last year and found they make some difference to your shorter runs. Help to shift a bit of weight too.
I have never been able to stick the gym or doing core work at home. I know I’d benefit hugely from it but I just find it an awful grind. Maybe I should resurrect the Champion’s League workout thread to give me the motivation.
FFS sake, what is with ye limerick cunts and whinging about minor injuries; gary kirbys finger, charlie chawkes leg and now rentons fucking SI
Don’t forget glas and his ABC joint
The core stuff is beyond explanation on here Mark. You have to get an assessment and be shown correctly.
Going to gym for the first time ever(ie since PE class) on Mondayo_O
What sort of a base are you coming from?
You’re probably dysfunctional.

I live near to a brothel on Cooke’s corner, probably from there I’d say
A whole week with no cardio…game this evening…woe is me…
Could be the best thing ever for ya. Adaptation after overload only happens during recovery.
Interesting…

Why was my name not included above when the likes of Mac was? I have spoken of my position as a regular runner of some skill whereas Macs achievements in the running sphere is that he has done a fun run FFS and his advice was nothing short of diabolical and would have you injured had you followed it.

A set of kettlebells for some core work wouldnt go astray. A pull up bar is a great addition also.
A few 45 second planks worth doing also.
Nothing wrong with a few good old press ups either.
