One more round old man!
Junior C game sunday, I am going to impale some unsuspecting young pup with a shoulder.
Anything to be said for impaling the missus?

Probably not in kp’s case. Every time he goes near her she ends up knocked up

You’ll creat an injury with that, well the first bit anyway. 55 pushing reps to no pulling is a recipe for disaster. The tight pecs will pull on the lats which in turn won’t do their job when you are running if they are over stretched (literally being pulled over your shoulder). This will tighten spinal erectors also which will feel like sore lower back.
You are also weakening the shoulder girdle and a lot of shoulder dislocations are caused by imbalances in the muscles around the shoulder.
If you changed the press ups for supine pulls you’d be flying.
That session is very heavy in the nervous system, you’ll need 48 hours rest or light active rest from it.

Point taken… I thought there was too much in there too with the addition of the weighted push ups… there was plenty rest and alot of stretching with resistance bands between sets Kev if the makes any difference?

what group are you in?
Dunno yet. Do you have the groups?
Ya it does, saves on the CNS fatigue certainly. However the main issue is the push to pull.
There is no problem with doing taxing workouts like yours, however once a week or fortnight would be good enough for someone playing sport. And plenty rest after is important.
