Spotted a couple of crews making round bales of silage off the M8 there at the weekend. Bates all. Prob not the best but theyd have eaten it sweet 6 moonths ago
They were cutting out my way last week too.
As I am sophisticated urbanite and familiar with the ways of farming folk, so maybe some of the farming folk on here can help me understand something. Driving in and work the last few weeks I have seen all the trailers stacked high with bales being moved about much to my frustration at being stuck behind them. Anyways one of the farmers has been storing all this bales in a field that I drive past on the way to work, the farmer had 2 stacks of bales bought about 4 bales high and 5 bales long, I drove past the other day and one of the stacks was on fire, now there was no fire brigade there and no farmer, there was some of that red and white warning tape across the gate and that was it, I was wondering would the farmer have set this on fire on purpose and for what reason or was it just an accident that the stack caught fire?
It will be perfect Dan.
Its been a great run of weather for a few months now.
No sane reason he would do this on purpose if it was good hay/straw?
Sounds like one of those deliberate accidents.
Will all the stupid cunts who had to get state funds for bales be paying back the Irish Government now that theyâve loads of it?
Theyâre farmers mate. They donât give, they take.
Are you implying @farmerinthecity is a taker, not a giver? My oh my, I always had him down as a mans manâŚ
