Nope. His fee seems to be a bit of a mystery. If it was £8m then it’s not he. If it was £10m then it is. But BBC report £8m and we’re looking for higher than that.

Yeah, was thinking along similar lines first off. Larry Lloyd was the first name that came into my head. He played on a Liverpool side that beat Mönchengladbach in a final but it was the Big Vase final of 1973. He was already at Forest by the time Liverpool beat Mönchengladbach in their first European Cup final in 1977.

Correct on Frank Gray - Leeds 1975, Forest 1980.

Is it on the field of play or does it include Jimmy Rimmer who was Man U’s sub goalie in 1968?

Jimmy Rimmer it is. Won two winners medals and played a total of 7 minutes for them.

Yes it was some baptism of fire for Nigel Spink when Rimmer got injured so early in the 1982 final. It might even have been Spink’s debut in a first team game, or if not his debut he only had a handful of appearances under his belt.
